Boarding School Program
Massachusetts is home to many of the most prestigious private boarding schools in New England. Students who apply to these schools must be prepared for a rigorous education with high academic standards. Independent, self-motivated students will benefit from the competitive environment that is typical of American boarding schools.
Day School or Boarding School?
Many international students prefer to go to boarding schools at first because they are the most accessible option. While the most selective schools limit the number of international students, less selective schools do not. Boarding school students often end up transitioning to day school because of the overwhelming number of international students in residence. As such, day school is generally the preferred option for students who want a completely immersive experience.
Students enrolled at a boarding school live on campus at their respective middle/high schools. Because they live on campus, we play less of a role in their everyday lives. However, we remain their guardians and ensure that they are receiving all of the support, help, and necessary supplies to succeed academically. If our students need anything, we are always available and willing to guide them and offer them all of our services. Oftentimes boarding schools close their dormitories during school vacations and holiday breaks. BGE can provide temporary homestay accommodations and study help during such a recess.
